LONDON (Alliance News) – Haydale Graphene Industries PLC said Monday it has been granted a patent in a “key” step towards the commercialisation of its treatment technology for graphene and other related materials.
The patent expires in 2032, 21 years on from the 2011 application date.
Haydale said it applies to a process underlying the company’s proprietary functionalisation treatment for graphene and its other nano particulates. The patent covers the US, alongside other patents for the same products covering regions around the world.
Chief Executive Ray Gibbs commented: “I am extremely pleased that we have been granted our US patent for both graphene and other nanomaterials. This means that our plasma process is now protected by patents in our key markets of the US, UK, Europe, Japan, China and Australia.
